Sep. 15th, 2006 05:57 pmIs tired.
I feel a little bad for not getting to the costume shop today...I had told Jill yesterday that I would probably most likely be there, but homework got in my face and completely ate up my day. I made and soldered all the links I needed to for my chain, and so far I have done two out of three watercolors....very, very bad watercolors, but I know how and why they went wrong. I overworked both of them in different ways, and I think I know better where to stop now. As a watercolor beginner, I'm really very glad that Ed is having us do these studies.
And even though I'm tired, I really want to blow off my third watercolor, and go home and sew. I feel like I haven't made anything for AGES (and it has been nearly a month actually) and I ought to have something spiffy to wear on Halloween. Something which I would be smart to do now before things really get crazy.
Looking at my fingers as I type, I realise that for the next twelve weeks my hands are going to look atrocious, and there's not really anything I can do about it. Printmaking alone is messy and dirty enough, but then I get all dirty again in metals, and then we're painting all semester in illustration... I can scrub and scrub my hands with the hardcore soap, and they still look all grungy. Bah.
