I have a regency bonnet! It's so exciting....the first hat/headgear of any sort that I've ever made. (yes, I know I'm bad, but I've always put off headgear before and it's just never happened) I used straw braid from a cheap large hat I found at Hobby Lobby and picked apart for the brim, and a chocolate color taffeta for the crown with some pale pink roses as decoration (to tie it in with my rose print dress). I'm also planning a fairly simple spencer out of the same taffeta. I think I shouldn't have a problem getting my corset and that done by halloween! Especially now that I've quit McDonald's, I can't tell you what a wonderful release it was Sat when I got home from my last day there. And then it dawned on me how much time it took up, and with 6-10 hours a week of work as opposed to 15+, I now have  sewing time! Yay! And that brings us back to the bonnet of which I don't have pictures because my Dad did something with the camara and I can't find it.

The irony here is that I have not one, but two digital cameras in my room right now. *eyeroll* Because we can't just have one for the family. My sister and dad each have to have one. Go figure.

Hopefully I'll take pictures of it today. If not, maybe you'll have to wait for our next sewing day...and on that note, what are your Fridays like?

My Fridays...well. I have class from 11-3, and then I work from 4-close. I usually don't get home til 8:30 or later.

Saturdays are better, though I don't know when you work. I usually have a 9-1 shift and then am free after that. Except for tomorrow, because a group of girls from my Spanish class and I are going to Holland to search out a Cultural Experience that we have to write papers about for Monday. Heh. And guess who got sick last night. ugh. You're welcome to come to Holland with us though, if you like. ^_^

Let me know. I'll try and keep up, but I had a fever last night and I think I might be developing one right now in class, so I might just disappear and then come back sometime next week when I get better. WHEN I get better, not IF...:P

What time do your classes start most days? You're welcome to come over here some evening and stay the night, and we can comandeer the basement if we want. I can drive you anywhere we need to go if we do that...

Or, are Sundays a no-no for you? I'm guaranteed to have those off.

Classes start at 8 most days and get done at 5...an evening might work some time possibly. It entirely depends on homework. And Sundays are a no-no. That's my church-and-life-drawing-homework day. ;-)
