this is today...sleeves

It has taken me nearly two days to finish those blasted sleeves, due to the fact that I had to cut out fourteen strips (times two actually, including lining) and sew them into tubes and then had to handstitch nearly everything so the pieces wouldn't slide all over the place. (I used white linen under the slashy strip things) My brain has chosen to turn off, and I can't remember the words for these types of sleeves. Ah well. I'm taking a break now until after dinner, whereupon I intend to sew my partlet, and tomorrow I attack the skirt. Then I'll be done!

I had my second belly dance lesson yesterday, and it was even better than the first! Even though I didn't really practice on account of being away all weekend, I was able to do all the stuff from before that I'd sucked at last week, and had a blast learning some more moves. I think I could really get into this! After the class, my friend and I stopped my Schueler Books where we each got the CD we use in class, Bellydance Superstars vol.1.....my family thinks I'm nuts!

Thank you! It was the colors that drew me in the first place. I don't think I'd have made the dress if it weren't for the colors.
