(no subject)

I spent a good chunk of the afternoon reading through my old diaries and LJ archives, only to come to the conclusion that I was an annoying brat at 12, an obnoxious twit at 15, and an irritating whiner at 18. I only hope to high heaven that when I look back to this particular time of my life in several years, I won't want to cringe in agony at... whatever I may be now. Though to be fair to myself, as the years progressed (in the diaries), reading what I wrote became less and less painful. I definately greatly improved my writing skills over the years, but what I focused on left much to be desired.

The rest of the day has been filled with bits and pieces. I started an essay for Medieval Symbolism, made the shoes for my little prince doll, ate pie, listened to a sermon, ate mashed potatoes and beef stew, played the piano, and ate nacho chips. Not in that order. And while I've been sitting here at the computer I've reached for my empty glass (which had pop in it at one point) and tipped it up to drink, only to watch one sad little drop try to roll towards my lips. The drop never manages to make it, and I always forget that's all the glass contains before reaching for it again.

And I really ought to make a list of things-to-be-done-during-and-before-Spring-Break. Maybe next entry...
