Holy. Hell.

I just dug through all my art in the basement looking for a particular drawing.

There is WAAYYYYY too much of it down there!

I have a very few pieces posted on etsy, and plan to upload more, but what I have on etsy doesn't even begin to scratch the surface.  My deviantArt page hardly scratches the surface!

This picture was taken just over a year ago after my junior review.  It sort of gives an idea of the situation, as I loaded three years of work into the car trunk.  Now, add another full year of work and a couple large scale paintings and you start to get an idea of what it's like.

I often think, "Hey, I really need money, I should just sell some of the art I already have... kill two birds with one stone!"  But even if I was as proactive with etsy as I should be (and am totally not), it's not a good time to be an unknown artist.

If any of you here on LJ see anything you like on my deviantArt page (which has some of my favorite pieces), I'd be more than happy to offer them to you at very good prices.  Ridiculously good prices, actually.  I am, of course, always eager for commissions, but I'd REALLY like to get rid of a lot of the stuff I've done already.

I have a lot of oil paintings, life drawings, figure paintings, some etchings, monotypes, woodcuts, watercolors, portraits, illustrations... I'm drowning in them!

And please, pass my etsy link along to anyone you think would be interested.  There's a lot more coming!

If you were wanting to sell on the "Bess & Edmund" image, I would be very interested in it.

i wish i had the money to buy some, but i currently don't. i might have money enough when i get back to west michigan, and if i do i'll let you know, k?

just as a side note, have you tried to maybe look for places in your area to display your work and sell it to the public? i know that there's a hair salon here near my house that displays the work of local artists for free, or a very low fee for larger pieces, that i'm thinking about using once i'm out of school. you might want to look around for places like that until your etsy page takes off.

I'm interested! I love your livestock series of drawings. How much for one of those? (I'd love an original, but you should really consider selling prints of those - I think people would snatch them up like hotcakes!) There were several paintings I liked too. What sort of price-range were you looking at? Here are a few that caught my eye:

I'm afraid I already sold all the livestock drawings at an art benefit this past autumn. I'd be happy to sell you a print, or, if like, I could draw a new one.

I was thinking that I'd probably sell any art at half the price I'd normally give on etsy.
'Meeting the Red Queen' would be $25
'Regency Self-Portrait' would be $50
'February's Dream' is freakin' enormous (about 4' x 5') and shipping alone would be outrageous! I could, however, do prints of that one too if you're interested.

Please email me at gwendolyneugenie@gmail.com with any other questions you might have! :)

I really like "Into the West." How much would that one be?

I'm so sorry, but my Mom fell in love with that one and I don't think she'd freely give it up (even if it made me money)! Do you think you'd be interested if I were to make prints of it?
