I think there are certain things of mine that simply evade the camara...for instance, during this week I took pictures of the "real clothes" I've made this summer, and last night I put them on my site here. Guess what I don't have a picture of yet....the baby-head dress. And yes, the 1920 dress from Feb is still un-photographed....no reason why not, it just seems to be super sneaky around picture time and slips quietly out of my mind. My mom thinks I'm silly for putting this stuff on my site...she says no one would possibly be interested, but I like having a visual record of what I make, even if it's not something incredible.
Oooooooooo, and I made the head for a new doll. I made it out of clay this time, and like all first attempts it didn't come out perfectly. I like the face, and I like how I painted it, but it cracked very slightly in the oven...I think maybe our oven runs a bit hot. But the crack is not in a bad place or very deep, and the face is still intact, so I think I'll go ahead and give it a body and clothes and "stuff".
I've been looking at prices of tickets to the UK for next spring, and it looks like I ought to be able to afford the trip. I'll barely squeeze by, but my parents won't be able to say any more that it'll take more than I have. And I'm putting together a list of all the schools I want to visit...so far there are five. I just really hope that I'll be able to settle on one thing after this, as my choice of graduate program will seriously impact what direction I'll take my art for my last two years at GVSU.
