Feb. 28th, 2009 09:07 pmI have been frustrated, thwarted even, in my latest endeavor. I'm in the middle of making the Laughing Moon Silverado corset to be worn under 1840 and Civil War things, and have it pretty much all put together. The pieces are assembled, the boned channels are sewn, and all that's left is to pound the grommets and bind it up. Except for one thing. The corsetry hardware itself arrived in the mail yesterday, and when I laid out all the boning today, I discovered something incredibly aggrivating. They mixed up several of the lengths I need and sent the wrong amount of several sizes. The invoice is correct... but instead of four 12" and eight 13" bones, I have eleven 12" and only one 13". And the worst bit is that tomorrow is Sunday, and I probably won't be able to get the correct boning lengths until well into the tail end of next week.
I do so hate being derailed when I'm on a roll... and it's not like I have scads of time at my disposal.
I guess this just means I'll HAVE to devote most of sping break to painting.
On the bright side, I'm taking a little break from everything for a couple days, and am going up to Traverse City tomorrow to see Tyler. It will be SUCH a welcome change!
