Jul. 3rd, 2007 12:36 pmYesterday I applied for a part-time graphic design job at the local newpaper. They had had an add in the paper looking for a designer for about three weeks, and the only absolute requirement listed was that experience with Adobe InDesign would be "helpful". I handed in my (fairly short) resume, and now can only wait impatiently. I could really use the extra money that a second job would afford me... I don't have very many hours at Field's and I'd kinda like to be able to pay tuition at some point. I definitley have the skills for the job, so. Here's hoping.
And you know how every project inevitabley has some part that you totally underestimated in time or difficulty? Yeah, I've hit that point on the S.H. Stripey. It was going along very smoothly and quickly and then BAM! Trim! Maybe I just lost motivation or something, but it's taking me much longer to put together and attatch the trim on the polonaise. It looks good, which is my only consolation... but it's made me slow waaaay down. I had wanted the dress to be completely done last week; I should definitley be able to finish by the end of this week, and in the grand scheme of things, one week off isn't bad, but it irks me.
I get to see Gill today!!! It's been two entire months since I last clapped eyes on the girl, and I'm really HUGELY looking forward to hanging out and catching up. :-)
