Mar. 26th, 2007 09:59 pmLast week our illustration class was thoroughly chastised by Ed for not producing enough work... this semester or last. As a result, today Adrianne and I decided to stop thinking so hard about pieces, and just work. I ending up doing my fastest illustration EVER. I did an oil painting in less than one class period, not quite three hours, and it was fairly largish too! About 2'x3'. Then I went to work, came home, and am dead tired. So, so tired. (By the by, I spent my morning designing a symbol logo and letterhead for self-promo purposes... how I don't love graphic design, let me count the ways...)
Yesterday I was productive too... I think it's because both yesterday and today were gorgeous, about 75 degrees in the afternoon and sunny with a breeze. Weather like this fills me with all sorts of motivation, and yesterday I put all the grommets in my stays, dyed the fabric for my intermediate drawing dress (for the final project for this class I'm assigning myself the first challenge from the second season of Project Runway) and biked for a couple hours. That in itself still amazes me... I don't excersise, and I certainly don't bike, but something about the day just drew me outside and I spent a solid chunk of the afternoon poking around all the back roads of Rockford where the tourists never stick their snotty noses.
But yeah... right now.... so tired.........
