Oct. 8th, 2006 11:41 amThere is nothing like music....nothing. It can totally fill a person in a way visual art and theater can't touch. At the symphony last night I literally felt as if my heart was going to explode, I even cried a couple times, and I don't even cry during movies! I just wish more people my age would go...would even consider going. The vast majority of people there were elderly, and that really made me sad. And it was such a good concert! They had an AMAZING pianist there for the first half, and he (with the orchestra) played a modern piece, and then a Mozert concerto which completely blew me away. After intermission the orchestra played Beethoven's 7th symphony. I wished that they could have played the 2nd movement over and over and over...I don't think I could tired of listening to it. Anyway, Rebekah and I went together, and it was really a lovely evening. I so wish I had the time and money to go regularily. Imagine playing music for a living. Just....playing music.
Even so.....it made me feel lonely.
