(no subject)

If one places an order on a Friday and pays for two day shipping, then shouldn't the said purchased artical arrive the Monday following? It would make sense.

This is the only day I'm not working this week and I was counting on my linen arriving yesterday so I could make the chemise today. I feel like writing a strongly worded email...I did, after all, pay for two day shipping, and I expect my package in two days! It's not like there aren't other things I can do with my time, but I really don't want to have to worry about making the chemise at the extreem last minute. It's quite frustrating.

And we had the mother of all thunderstorms last night. Wind and rain and hail as large as an inch across and nearly constant lighting and thunder......it was quite thrilling. And then we had to go to bed by candlelight becuase the power went out. It was so very peaceful going to sleep without the hum of the air conditioning and the hundred and one other appliences that you never notice until they stop. I really enjoyed it...especially since the power was back when I woke up this morning, so I didn't suffer the lack of anything.
