I don't think one doll will be enough. I finished the doll this afternoon after class, and I'm really pleased with it. The photoshop project is really only a convenient excuse for having made it. And now I want to try all sorts of ways of doll-making...and I want to make lots. I'd love to actually make a whole doll body from scratch instead of frankenstiening what I already had at hand. As it is, I took my 12" wooden mannaquin and carved it out a decent neck and head, and pulled off the arms and replaced them with ones of wire with baby doll hands I had pulled off an old doll of mine, and I painted the whole body white. The dress was originally going to be a ghosty type of Sleepy Hollow B+W dress, but during the making it completely evolved into something entirely different with a 1780's sort of look. I have a few pictures, but I didn't try too hard to make these great since I'll be having a proper doll photoshoot soon for the project.

<div class="ljcut" text="And finally, some pictures at last!">This is a picture of the finished thing, you can't see the face very well though. Or anything very well for that matter.

This is with the finished dress and hair, but before she got a face...it shows the outfit much better than the last picture.

And this is before the sleeves and overskirt. It shows what the arms are really like, and what you see through the rip in the sleeve that the other pics don't properly let on.

And here's a pic thrown in of that night when I was acting rather silly and listening to Moulin Rouge while cleaning my room...it at least shows my new bangs!
