Battle of the mind
Jan. 30th, 2006 09:54 amThere is SO much I want to learn! Why is it schools make us pick one thing to stick to and then throw in a bit of everything else leaving no room for seperate desires of knowledge that we might desperately want to gain as well but that don't in any way benefit our credits. Gah! I want Latin. I want history. I want French. I want theater. Yes, I love art, but it's not my whole life! Yeah, I know techically we never stop learning and I can always take classes later if I want to, but I'm in school right now where we are supposed to be developing our minds, yet they won't let us develope them in more than two directions!
And there's a huge metal debate going on right now in my head. Art or costume? Aberystwth or Cardiff? It's almost scary knowing that whever I decide will set my life along one path or another...I know that whichever I choose will give me a two very different futures. How do I know now what the right one will be? And yeah, sophomore might be a bit early to be seriously thinking of grad school, but if I can't make up my mind now, how better would I be able to in a year or two?
