Pride, where there is a true superiority of mind, pride will never be a weakness.

I admit it. I'm feeling pretty smug right now. In fact, I might go so far as to say I'm feeling very successful. Even if I do awfully on my art history exam in a hour, I'll still feel successful. Why, you might ask. Well, at the end of every Intro to Painting class, the director of exhibits for GVSU takes a look at the paintings, and chooses a couple to hang in Kirkhof Center (a meeting/eating/studying/bookstore center). Unfortunatly, he got called away for some emergency I don't know the nature of, and so can't personally look at the paintings until begining of next semester. However, he did look at the slides of the two classes (16 people total) best works, and chose nine of them to take a closer look at next term. He chose three of mine. THREE! My final, my collage, and my post-collage painting...he wants to look at all of them. And he only chose nine to look at. *squee* I don't know yet if he'll actually want to hang any of mine, but with my stuff being a third of the group.....it makes me feel like I can actually be an artist. It's a good feeling.

And after this exam at 2 I'm free free free!!!!!!!

Relatively.

I still have to make my bridesmaid dress. Wedding is Saturday. But with nothing else to worry about it should be easy.

In other news, my uncle and his girlfriend (wife in everything but name) are visiting from Scotland for the wedding. I haven't seen him since I was twelve, so it's really nice. And my aunt and her fiance are coming tonight from Ireland (she's English though), so it's all quite exciting. Hearing my uncle and his Susan talk makes me a wee bit sad though...I really, whole-heartedly, deeply, want to go back to Britain..... I can't even articulate what just went through my head as I sat and stared at that last paragrah...i
