Jul. 13th, 2005 07:56 pmThis has been a good fabric day. It started with my mom and I going to Fields Fabric's tent sale (all fabrics were either $1, $2, or $3 a yard) and even though I have a VERY tight budget I was able to get everything I wanted. So now I have fabric for a bustle (or whatever else might pop into my head, but I THINK I'll use it for a bustle...heaven knows I want an early 1870's dress) and some navy blue velvet cordoroy and some blue and white diamonded silk/cotton tweed, both of which are for clothes for the fall (I have all sorts of ideas for not-so-ordinary mundane clothes) And of course, I had to buy more muslin....I don't like spending money on boring things.
And then. Finally. I started sewing again, and I now have the bodice done! W00t! I haven't got any hooks and eyes on yet, so it's just hanging open in the picture. You'll have to imagine it shut. The color's a bit off in the picture too...the light's too bright...it's fuzzy too. :p Yeah, it's a bad picture.
