'cuase I'm not dead yet!
May. 26th, 2005 11:58 amI wanted to update. But I haven't got much to say.
I spend all day Tuesday at the mall becuase I desperately need(ed) new summer clothes, and I had the most DREADUL time finding anything! The problem was, most of the clothes in the mall are very bland, very ordinary, very everyman. There are a couple shops downtown Rockford with really cool unique (but expensive) clothes, and I had some images in my mind from them and nothing, nothing, at the mall measured up. In the end I bought about four different tank tops and a skirt and some bejeweled hair accessories, then wisked my Mom to Paper Doll in Rockford where we split the cost for a truly cute frilly froofy skirt I was in love with. It's such fun to wear! Anyway, I ended up spending most of my birthday money which means *sob* I only have about $40 left in my budget for fabric!!!!! I know I badly needed new clothes, but I hate skrimping on fabric, and I doubt I'll be able to find a loverly natural fiber fabric for my Elizabethan now. *sigh* Such is life.
And now for something completely different.
I just finished reading The Order of the Pheonix for the umpteenth time, and have been reading a lot a lot of Harry Potter fan fic lately, and have listened to Spamalot (the Monty Python and the Holy Grail musical) far too many times the past couple days, and last night in bed I suddenly started imagining a sort of Monty Python Harry Potter mesh...so I started writing a fan fic tentatively called "Oh he's not yet dead" in which the Lady of the Lake thinks Harry is a reincarnation of King Arthur and....yeah. Whatever.
