Break and Broken Masonite
Mar. 14th, 2005 09:35 pmWell, spring break is completely over and gone and I know know know that the next five weeks will be the most hectic, stressful, busy time of my life. It's scarey how much we have yet to do and prepare before foundation review! And there's no turning back now (not that I'd want to!) I signed up for the review today, and officially changed my major to illustration. I MUST get into illustration though...I don't know what I'd do if I didn't. Right now I'm not even thinking about it and trying to work on the assumption that everything will turn out well in the end. Ye gods, I hope it does!
Today was not a good indicator of the rest of semester though. My masonite planer sculpture broke. And it's very hard to glue back together because of the angles. I was felt quite desolate for a while, and could only stare at it in horror. I'll have to go down early tomorrow to try to put it back together before class. And I was just starting to feel good about 3D!!! There's no justice.
I didn't get much sewing done during break either...I only quilted some of the folders, didn't even get around to binding any yet. And the jumpsuits really fell through the cracks. I did basicly nothing on them. But it was restful and peaceful, and I got to see everybody I love from high-school days but Lynette and Caleb. I really wish I had been able to get together with Lynette. When I'm around her I'm constantly inspired to be a better person, to start a new project (or finish an old one), or read a new book, to take time to write in my diary and light a candle when I need some rest. I can't really describe it. *sigh* I miss Lynette!!!!!!!!!!
