I do hope this works! I found the funnestest doll maker thing on padawansguide 's LJ, and I made two of me. The first one has my hair (done up) and mostly my look, but I don't have nifty sandles like that. The second one is wearing clothes exactly like what I wear every day (even the shoes, I have a pair like that), but with the hair that I want.

Ha! I was able to go to the fabric store yesterday and I had such fun! I'd never bought a whole bolt of fabric before, and it was really cool walking out of the store with a bolt under my arm, beaming at the poor souls with their little pieces of fleece. But yeah, I got a bolt of bright orange rayon, yes rayon! But it's quite heavy for rayon, and it's for the X-wing Pilot costumes. There were just over 11 yards on the bolt, so I got the whole thing. I need to make two jumpsuits after all. Oh, and I got the last few types of beads I needed, so I can start the packing dress fronticepiece whenever I get the time.

Today has been brilliant so far though. I'm down at school and spent the morning at Calder (Art building) helping out with the portfolio reviews for next year's incoming freshman. It was such fun! I got to pack and unpack all the portfolios and look at all the work and compare it to what mine was a year ago. And a couple of my friends were also working, carrying stuff and giving tours. But it was simply grand to be one of the 'old people' and actually know stuff and give newbies advice. And the weather is simply amazing today...sunny, almost 50 degrees.......yeah, I'm happy. But I have to go back to Calder now to work on my maquetts for 3D. Still, I'd rather do them now when I'm in the right frame of mind than put them off 'til Mon when I'll be in a rush and spazzing out. I wish every day could be like this one.
