Hmmm, if I were you, I'd save up and by the taffeta (or better yet be patient and keep searching for less expensive taffeta) It really depends on the level of authenticity you're going for though. But if neither satin nor slubs appeal to you, than you may not be happy with the overall product :( So yeah, I vote for the taffeta! :)
