Siblingy stuff
I can't imagine being an only child...this spring break thing is really rather nice in that I get to spend time with my brothers that I normally wouldn't. And we are actually getting along very well. I hope it lasts all week. Joseph and I were reading Shakepeare last night back and forth and we got sillier and sillier and we were swearing back and forth in Latin...much fun. I like having brothers sometimes.
What is not so nice is having books lost in the mail. My copy of Costume Design: Techniques of Modern Masters has not arrived after being shipped three weeks ago, though fortunately the seller is a reasonable chap and said he'll give me a refund if it doesn't come by tonight. But I'd rather have the book.
And my mother and I are back to fighting over the sewing machine. I'll lug her's up to my room and then have to bring it down when she wants it only to sneak it away again as soon as possible only to find it back downstairs in a couple of hours. The tension on my old machine is wonky, and I'm not sure how to fix it. This sad state of affairs is putting a real crimp in my plans though...as it is I've been able to get most of my painting dress done, but finishing it and making Joseph's birthday present is going to be difficult. I will have to be sneaky.
