I've been working a lot lately, but tonight I settled in to watch as many Sharpe movies as I could while stitching the lining into the doublet. Unfortunately, my Dad just booted me off the TV as it's in my parents room and they kinda wanted to go to bed. Still, I saw Sharpe's Rifles, Sharpe's Eagle, and most of Sharpe's Company...and the lining is almost all sewn in. And since I don't have anything else planned for tomorrow, I can do the shoulder treatments and hopefully the front trim and buttons and it'll be done!
And it's happened again.
After watching Sense and Sensibility yesterday, and Sharpe today, I now NEED more Regency clothes. I need a long sleeved dress and a pelisse and a wool spencer and a white dress and a new petticoat and another bonnet NOW. It was Sharpe and the Regency that pulled me into this whole costuming thing in the first place, and I'm afraid I'm still firmly in its thrall.
